Following Julian Borner’s arrival at Hillsborough from German outfit Arminia Bielefeld yesterday, Sheffield Wednesday have now made Moses Odubajo their second signing of the summer transfer window.
Brought in following his release from Brentford, the right-back has joined the Owls despite the current uncertainty surrounding their manager Steve Bruce who is being heavily linked with the vacancy at Newcastle United (via BBC Sport).
Although Odubajo featured on 35 occasions last season for the Bees, boss Thomas Frank opted not to offer him a new deal in May (via Goal).
Speaking to the Owls’ official website about his move, Odubajo said:”The times I’ve played at Hillsborough in the past, before the referee blows the whistle – in that moment there – I don’t think you can get that anywhere else.
“Being the home team it gives you that advantage and that was especially the case last year when I came away with Brentford.
“It felt like we were going into the game with the lower hand, it’s like an extra man and it certainly helps.”
With the club revealing his arrival on Twitter earlier today, plenty of Owls fans reacted positively to the news.
