Sheffield Wednesday take on Barnsley this weekend in a Yorkshire derby in the Sky Bet Championship.
The Owls have been good at times this season but they have also let poor performances creep in and the inconsistency that has riddled them in recent years still hasn’t been tackled.
Indeed, in recent weeks their form has really tailed off in the league and their playoff hopes are now thinner than they’ve been in a while this campaign.
Fans want to see the squad revamped, then, and it remains to be seen who Garry Monk looks to keep and who he looks to move on in a potentially busy summer.
According to the Sheffield Star, Sam Hutchinson’s future remains up in the air, too, and it remains to be seen just where he ends up come the start of the new campaign.
Fans, though, have been debating what they’d like to see happen with him on Twitter so let’s take a look:
Sam Hutchinson been a good player for us and a great servant.Still think Centre Half is his best position..We know big changes are needed on the squad, but wouldn’t write Sam off yet #swfc pic.twitter.com/n8DgrALt4Z

Need to move players like Hutchinson on. Been at club for over 5 years and only been available for about half of the games.

He’s not been the best with injuries but no one can ever question his ability, passion and commitment. If we had a few more like him we would be top 6. Wonder if managers find his presence intimidating? Always come across as knowledgeable when interviewed.

I do not believe his football ability is in question. His injuries and suspensions may be. But in my opinion it may well be more to do with his attitude Monday – Friday.

He concedes way too many free kicks, picks up too many yellow cards and is injured a lot. Not a bad player but he plays 20 games a season and he’ll be on £20k a week. Needs to go as do all of the class of 15/16.
