Some people say miracles happen at Christmas.

And some bright spark has tried to create perhaps the biggest Christmas miracle of them all, by proving Arsenal’s Nicklas Bendtner is in fact a better player than Lionel Messi.

Let’s look at the facts.

First and foremost, Bendtner has scored in the Premier League before, whilst Messi never has.

Second, Bendtner has been crowned the Danish player of the year back in 2009. One of the few awards Messi has never won.

Thirdly, Bendtner is younger than Messi, and therefore has more time to develop into a world class talent.

Fourth – Bendtner is taller than Messi. Not sure how about that one to be fair.

And finally, Bendnter has scored against Barcelona, a team widely regarded as the best in the world. Something Messi has never managed to do!

You can’t argue with the facts, can you?
