Our Aston Villa fans here in the Transfer Tavern are feeling rather tense right now ahead of a crucial game with Norwich at Villa Park this weekend.
The men from the Midlands have not got off to the start many would have imagined they would this year with just one point coming from the nine available and so there is work to do.
Indeed, Steve Bruce will have been no doubt working hard on the training field to try and find something that will change results on the pitch.
It’s nearly time to see if that has worked, then, with him under pressure from some sections of the support, but he has at least been handed one boost.
Indeed, as revealed on the club’s Twitter, Ahmed Elmohamady has declared himself fit with a clear indication that he wants to fight in every game to get Villa going.

For sure, then, fans should be pleased to see this kind of grit from a player but ultimately they want results and so a win is a real must against the Canaries this weekend.
Landlord’s Verdict
Villa really need to roll their sleeves up and dig in this weekend or they risk a real loss of confidence and loss of ground in the title race.
Indeed, with the likes of Wolves already firing on all cylinders they need to turn it around against Norwich and they’ll be hoping Elmohamady’s desire to play rubs off on the rest of the team.
