Sunderland: Fans continue to be frustrated with Duncan Watmore following injury setback

Another injury update from Sunderland, another injury setback for Duncan Watmore.

Jack Ross confirmed in his pre-match press conference ahead of Sunderland’s weekend game against Ipswich Town that the 25-year-old winger had picked up a knock and will be unavailable for the second League One game of the season.

Watmore has been a constant fixture on the medical table at Sunderland, missing 117 games in total for the northeast side as injury numbers from Transfermarkt show.

As you would expect, Black Cat supporters have grown agitated about how often the attacker has missed out on games due to injury, and some took to social media to vent their frustration over Watmore following this latest news from the Sunderland boss.
