Sunderland: Fans discuss Kevin Phillips as a potential Parkinson replacement

Sunderland slumped to yet another defeat last night in Sky Bet League One as Burton Albion edged them out 2-1 at the Stadium of Light with fans getting seriously cross with their club now.

The Black Cats have been struggling in recent weeks and the appointment of Phil Parkinson, right now, is not working out.

He’ll be looking to change that around as soon as possible with a big break between now and their next game but fans are clamouring for him to be removed with the way things have gone even in this short period of time under him.

One such fan and former player Micky Gray, too, has called for Parkinson to be replaced by former Sunderland hero Kevin Phillips:

A player that performed brilliantly when the club were in much better shape at the turn of the century, this claim from Gray has got plenty of response on Twitter.

Completely agree with this Micky! You cant get experience if you dont get the chance! SKP would of given the place a lift! Think the majority of fans would of kept Ross if they knew Parkinson was the alternate!
