Sunderland: Fans discuss McGeady’s potential exit

Sunderland are not having a good season and as things stand it is hard to make a case for them making the play-off places by the end of the campaign.

They are not far away points-wise but in terms of form and confidence they are well away from where they need to be and from where those above them are.

Indeed, the fans have largely turned on manager Phil Parkinson already, judging by the raw emotion that regularly follows a defeat on social media, and it seems safe to assume that he is already walking a tightrope.

What might not help matters, then, is the news that it looks as though Aiden McGeady could be out of the club as early as January with him evidently not seeing eye to eye with the manager and training away from the first team.
