Sunderland are finding it tough at the moment to find any kind of form or momentum in Sky Bet League One as we approach the Christmas period in the third tier.
Sitting in 12th in the table right now, the Black Cats are struggling and Phil Parkinson certainly has the fans on his back with the gap to the play-offs getting ever wider.
With them drawing at the weekend against Blackpool, the long wait for a win in any competition has continued but striker Charlie Wyke has sought to try and take the positives from the result at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.
As quoted by the club’s official Twitter site, he said:
