Sunderland: Fans react as Grigg bid rejected

Sunderland earned an important three points last night in Sky Bet League One as they saw off Tranmere Rovers away from home 1-0.

The Black Cats have really picked up of late and are now serious promotion contenders with two huge games coming up.

They travel to Portsmouth this weekend whilst a clash with Ipswich Town is also not far away and if they can get good results from both games they will be looking very strong and also confident to match.

Between now and the weekend, though, we have the final days of the January transfer window and it could well be a busy few hours on Wearside with plenty of rumours doing the rounds.

Will Grigg’s future remains unsettled at the moment it seems, too, with Keith Downie revealing that the Black Cats have rebuffed a bid from Bradford for the striker:

Is it just me that wants to keep grigg? He's not had the team we've now got playing to his strengths -and played through injuries. It's only at safc he hasn't done well. Maybe we need to give him more time like parkie.
