Sunderland have seen form improve slightly in recent weeks with them going on a bit of an unbeaten run – though they’d surely like some of the draws in the last few games to have been wins.
Even so, they earned a good victory over Lincoln City at the weekend to close the gaps to the play-offs and perhaps now there is a little bit more hope that this season can still prove a successful one.
And, off of the pitch, there are rumblings too with the club confirming today via Twitter and their website that the process to sell the club has begun:

Stewart Donald is obviously in charge of things at the moment and has been for a while, though perhaps not as long as he could have been if the club had got promoted last season – though that is a contentious theory depending on who you ask anyway.
He’s looking to move the club on to new ownership, then, and this has been the reaction to that on Twitter:

More divide and rule tactics. I reckon Stewart will still be here at the end of the season after failing to find a 'suitable buyer'. If he wants to turn it around then invest in the team and the academy.
