Sunderland earned a much-needed win at the weekend in Sky Bet League One as they edged Doncaster Rovers to emerge from the game as 2-1 victors away from home.
The Black Cats have struggled so far this season and form under Phil Parkinson has been poor, there can be no real debate about that.
Even so, a play-off finish is still attainable providing that 2020 sees an upturn in results, though many fans will tell you that they cannot see that happening with the current set-up in charge.
They’ve still got some talented players in the side regardless, though, and Chris Maguire is one of them with him enjoying a decent performance at the weekend.
One man that can really impact Sunderland’s results between now and the end of the season, fans will hope for some more goals from him in the coming weeks and months.
