Sunderland travel to Tranmere Rovers tomorrow evening in Sky Bet League One as the race for promotion continues to intensify.
The Black Cats have had a good run of form in recent weeks but a drab draw with Doncaster Rovers last time out showed that it is still not going to be a walk in the park in trying to get back into the Championship.
Even so, they are decently placed and have run of games close together that could really set the tone for the business end of their season.
Portsmouth and Ipswich are on the horizon but first it’s a trip to Merseyside against the Super White Army.
