Times are tough for Sunderland at the moment in Sky Bet League One with the Black Cats looking to get back into the Championship but hardly seeming convincing at the moment.
They are well out of form under Phil Parkinson and the pressure has already ramped up on him to the point where every loss is greeted by calls for his sacking on social media.
Clearly, there isn’t a very positive mood around the Stadium of Light at the moment and it is an issue that needs to be resolved quickly if they are to get themselves back into play-off contention.
Parkinson has work to do, then, but negative results can impact anyone and that is what the U18 side found last night as they lost to Birmingham City:
