Sunderland are certainly looking strong at the moment in Sky Bet League One with them now seeming like real contenders for the automatic promotion spots.
The men from the Stadium of Light have once again had their difficulties this season and at one point they seemed destined for a poor mid-table finish.
Indeed, Phil Parkinson was well and truly on the rack but the Black Cats have sorted themselves out and had one of the strongest Januaries in the Football League.
All involved deserve credit, then, but it seems as though they’re not resting on their laurels just yet with the transfer window still open and rumours still doing the rounds.

Decent signing. Good cover/starting. Give credit to Parkinson we’ve only signed players better than what we have. We need one more attacking midfielder or striker. Ship out Grigg, McNulty and Benji and that’s a good squad, with Embleton fit.
