Sunderland will be hoping their upturn in form continues this weekend as they take on MK Dons in League One with the aim of pushing into the top six in the table.
The Black Cats are looking stronger under Phil Parkinson now and though the jury will still be out on him after a poor start, he does seem to have bought himself some time at the club.
Up next, then, a match they should be winning against the Dons and it remains to be seen how they deal with the occasion as they look to close the gap further on those at the top.
New signings are also what fans want to see in the January window and the Black Cats have been linked heavily with Greg Docherty of Rangers with the Scottish Sun reporting that that is the case.
