Things are looking much rosier at Sunderland at the moment with the Black Cats in good form and gradually climbing up the league table.
The men from the Stadium of Light were looking poor under Phil Parkinson but as the criticism grew the manager has kept his head down and has worked hard, clearly, to get the players playing how he wants them too.
Now, the club looks a real contender for promotion and fans are hoping that that continues for the rest of the season.
Indeed, things are looking up on Wearside and that can be said for the U23 side who – despite poor form for several months – picked up a win yesterday evening.
Fans were certainly quick to react to this news, too, with many hoping that this is a sign things are going to turn around for them too.
