Sunderland take on Gillingham this weekend as they look to get an important three points in terms of the race for promotion from Sky Bet League One.
The Black Cats have been strong since the turn of the year but a couple of wobbles in recent games has meant that this match with the Gills is hugely important for them to win.
Whilst we wait to see how they do, though, it’s hard to not wonder how the coronavirus outbreak might impact the fixtures up and down the country in the coming weeks, with it a large unknown right now.
The hope is that things will continue largely uninterrupted by the illness but, that said, clubs are understandably putting precautions and measure in place to limit the potential setback it provides.
Sunderland are no different, and Phil Parkinson has revealed that his players will not be going abroad when a break comes around later this month:
