The Magpies just cannot seem to secure an all-important three points in the Premier League, as their failure to hold onto a lead has seen them go on a run of five games without a win. Indeed, this definitely isn’t the kind of stat that the club will want to be producing at a critical time, with fellow relegation scrappers picking up valuable points around them.
However, it appears (according to the Chronicle) as if the club are preparing to get rid of any fringe players at St James’ Park, with the Newcastle chiefs planning for a much-needed overhaul in the summer months. And, Massadio Haidara is one of the players that looks to be facing an unfortunate exit from the club, as it’s likely that he’ll be handed a free transfer to ply his trade somewhere else for next season.

Joselu
The Spaniard joined Newcastle United in the summer after completing a £5 million move from Stoke City, but has proven to be a transfer disaster during his time on Tyneside thus far.
Indeed, having featured in 25 games so far this season as the main striker for the Magpies, he’s managed to produce a poor return of four goals in a season that’s made our local residents question the club’s decision-making. And, this has resulted in Benitez finally opting to drop the ineffective forward to the bench, as they’ve now enjoyed more success with Dwight Gayle and Ayoze Perez leading the line.
Therefore, having failed to live up to the standards of Premier League football, it’s likely that the club will look to get rid of the striker in the summer transfer window.
Javier Manquillo
The 23-year-old has previous Premier League experience from his time at Liverpool, but failed to earn a permanent switch to Anfield after an unsuccessful loan spell with the club.
Indeed, the Magpies brought the Spaniard to St James’ Park in the summer months for an undisclosed fee from Atletico Madrid, as they looked to provide cover in the left-back department. But, since making the move to Newcastle United he’s struggled to come to terms with the English top-flight once again, as many of our local northerners feel that his days are numbered on Tyneside.
Therefore, after seeing the brilliance of Kenedy in the left-back position since being brought on loan during the January transfer window, Javier Manquillo looks to be facing an inevitable exit from St James’ Park in the summer.
