Our Newcastle fans here in the Transfer Tavern are very confident that they are going to get promoted this season with them currently top of the Championship.
It’s hard to argue against that, too, with the Magpies flying at the moment and looking strong with both one of the best managers and squads available in the second tier.
What they need to do, then, is secure that as soon as possible before thinking about who they can sign in the transfer window to ensure they stay up.
Reports about potential moves have emerged, though, with The Sun claiming the Magpies are looking at Gylfi Sigurdsson if they get promoted.
Certainly, he’d be a top signing and many of the Toon Army are getting excited, whilst others are urging them to stay grounded and go up first.
