The Newcastle United takeover saga continues to rumble on, and we are far from clear on what the outcome will be.
The Toon, of course, are set to be purchased by the Saudi Royal Family, which would give them almost incomparable funds and would of course get rid of Mike Ashley, a man who has become incredibly unpopular during his time as owner of the north-east club. However, there have been obstacles, such as the piracy debate, which has threatened to call the whole thing off.

Despite it not being completed though, there has been plenty of speculation in regards to potential transfer moves for the Magpies, with the likes of Edinson Cavani and Kalidou Koulibaly (Foot Mercato via The Daily Mail) linked with the club. Not only that, potential new managers have been mentioned, such as Mauricio Pochettino.

Steve Bruce, it appears, does not seem too happy with this, and he says that the speculation about his job is “disrespectful“. This has attracted plenty of attention from the Toon supporters, and they do not seem too happy with his comments – some have mentioned how he has treated his previous clubs, with one calling him a “mackem in disguise”. They have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
Almost as disrespectful as walking out on Sheffield Wednesday.

Same old bruce the excuse, he’s a master of getting them in early. One thing he is world class at.

I would think that was spot on, were it not for the fact he’s been disrespectful to several clubs in his managerial career.

I’d say this was a fair comment if he didn’t walk out on Sheffield Wednesday in pre season

He’s walked out on many clubs in his time and showed them no loyalty or respect. Zero sympathy for the man on this one.
