According to a report by Corriere dello Sport, Tottenham Hotspur and Daniel Levy have contacted Real Madrid over signing defender Eder Militao on loan with the rights to a permanent move – coming as an ‘offer’ from Jose Mourinho for the £104,000-per-week colossus now emerges.
Militao, who has found game time difficult to come by under Galacticos boss Zinedine Zidane this season, could be on the move in January as Spurs look to succeed in the transfer market where they failed last summer.

Levy in contact to sign Militao
Indeed, Tottenham were on the hunt for a new centre-back, with chief scout Steve Hitchen even flying out to Italy for discussions over Serie A star Milan Skriniar at one stage.
However, these talks never came to fruition, resulting in Mourinho and Levy failing to address the centre-back area with a star name despite the signing of promising young defender Joe Rodon from Swansea City.
Now, as per Corriere dello Sport, Tottenham have made contact with Real over signing Militao on a temporary deal with a potential option to buy.
Mourinho has allegedly recommended Militao personally to Levy and the board, with the Portuguese reportedly keen on landing him after following the centre-half for some time.

The 22-year-old, lauded as a ‘beast‘ by former head coach Diego Aguirre at Sao Paulo, appears to be heavily on the radar after this update – with Spurs displaying serious intent to try and land his signature this month.
Steve McManaman also hailed him as an ‘excellent‘ central defender, but only time will tell whether this contact by Levy comes to fruition as Tottenham continue their search for a January signing.
