According to an update courtesy of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Tottenham and chairman Daniel Levy could be open to agreeing a £22.9 million deal to sign Arkadiusz Milik and ‘would have decided to pay’ before AS Roma’s heavy involvement and eventual collapsed transfer.
Milik, who bagged 14 goals for the Serie A side in all competitions over 2019/2020, has been heavily linked with a move to north London recently as Levy scours the market for much-needed striking options behind star man Harry Kane.

Reliable football.london reporter Alasdair Gold has echoed these links, claiming that Spurs have had an interest in the Poland international as well as FC Metz striker Habib Diallo and a plethora of alternative names.
Having made five signings already this summer, including a sensational double swoop for Real Madrid duo Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon, the latter on a permanent deal, Spurs have been largely tipped in the media to add two more star names.
Both a forward and centre-back are being targeted, with Inter Milan star Milan Skriniar currently hot on Tottenham’s wanted list as the two clubs open talks over a potential deal.
Now, La Gazzetta claim Spurs would be willing to pay Milik’s asking price to nail down a forward option, but they now face competition from the likes of Newcastle and Fulham who are also interested in a swoop.

The latter Premier League clubs, however, would only sign Milik on the condition Aurelio De Laurentiis lowers his asking price – potentially putting Spurs in the driving seat.
Described as an attacker who can do ‘wonderful things‘, it’s safe to say Tottenham could land a more-than capable stand-in for Kane ahead of a gruelling 2020/2021 season.
