Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho is considering making an offer to Real Madrid for striker Luka Jovic this month, that is according to a report from Defensa Central.
The north London outfit are thought to be keen on signing a forward in the current transfer window to cover the injury of Harry Kane, who has been ruled out of action until April after having surgery on his hamstring (tottenhamhotspur.com).
Whilst Spurs do have Lucas Moura and Son Heung-min who can cover the centre-forward position, neither are really recognised strikers so bringing someone in is surely the best thing they can do.
Jovic only joined Los Blancos last summer from Eintracht Frankfurt where he had enjoyed a prolific season, netting 27 times in 48 appearances in all competitions (Transfermarkt). But things haven’t really gone according to plan for the Serbian at the Bernabeu, he has scored just one goal in 18 appearances overall and has managed to start just seven games (Transfermarkt).
It seems that he would be a popular signing amongst the Spurs fanbase however, who are perhaps looking at his stats from last season more seriously than those from this campaign due to his lack of game time for Real Madrid. Many of them have been expressing their views on Twitter, urging the club to get a deal done…
