Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Barcelona left-back Marc Cucurella in the summer transfer window, that is according to a report from Spanish radio station Cope, via Transfermarkt.
The 21-year-old is currently spending the season on loan at Getafe and it is suggested that they can buy him for €6 million at the end of the season. However, if they do that he will have a €25 million release clause in his contract and Barcelona would be due 40% of his next transfer fee.
Spurs aren’t the only club thought to be interested in the Spanish under-21 international either, with Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Monchengladbach all keen according to the report.
Cucurella has certainly impressed in La Liga this season, on average he wins 4.4 ground duels and 2.1 tackles per game whilst also showing attacking nous, playing 1.4 key passes per match and providing four assists so far (SofaScore).
It seems that Spurs fans are divided when it comes to potentially signing the young Spaniard, Some have taken to Twitter to suggest that they think he would be a good signing, whilst others aren’t convinced.
