Tottenham Hotspur player Dele Alli is struggling to get game time at the club under Jose Mourinho, and the latest reports believe he could link up with former Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The news on Dele Alli
Pochettino is reportedly in talks to become the manager of French giants Paris Saint-Germain following the sacking of Thomas Tuchel.
According to The Sun, if this were to happen, Pochettino would be very keen to bring the Englishman to Paris.
Spurs could lose a great asset
Despite mostly exiling him from the side, Mourinho has praised Alli in the past, saying: “(Alli’s) too good to not be one of the best players in the world and not playing with the national team.”
He has only managed four appearances in the Premier League this season (Transfermarkt) and he is really struggling for form as he has not scored or assisted since July.
There is no doubting the quality and potential the 24 year-old has. Last season he picked up eight goals and four assists (WhoScored) whilst he also managed 1.7 shots and 1.2 successful dribbles a game. If he can rekindle this form, he still has a lot to give and has many years of his career to get even better.
Therefore the club have a huge decision to make, but if Alli feels he is not playing enough and wants to earn his place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad he may try to take that decision out of their hands.
