After losing out on Ekitike, the Magpies should keep their focus in Ligue 1 regarding their next centre-forward signing in trying to land Gouiri.
The 22-year-old has 11 goals and seven assists in 28 games across all competitions so far this season (Transfermarkt), and his performances have even won the admiration of Kylian Mbappe, Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp.
Given his young age as well, Newcastle should look no further than to try and sign the £40.5m-rated marksman.
