The Rangers fans here in the Transfer Tavern know they are fully set for a very busy summer. Indeed, with Steven Gerrard at the helm, the punters propping up our bar are expecting big things in their attempts to knock bitter rivals Celtic off of their perch next season.
With the likes of Scott Arfield and Allan McGregor already through the door, our local Light Blues are looking forward to more arrivals. However, following reports from the Daily Record, it seems Gerrard will have to do without a move for a former teammate of his.
Martin Skrtel has been linked with a move to Ibrox, though this report claims a deal is dead in the water as Rangers cannot finance what would be a very expensive deal to lure him away from Fenerbahce this summer.
