West Bromwich Albion could only draw 0-0 with Swansea City at the weekend in the Sky Bet Championship as the Baggies saw Leeds United overtake them in the race for the title.
The top two have managed to pull away a little bit in the league again this season but until promotion is done and dusted fans will not be counting their chickens.
Indeed, we’ve already seen the pair lose the gaps they’d built up once and, with a few weeks left, there is still time for that to happen once again.
Even so, West Brom are in good shape at the moment and certainly in stark contrast to when Gary Megson arrived 20 years ago and began to try and turn the club’s fortunes around.
Indeed, Albion have marked the milestone on Twitter and plenty has been said as fans have looked back on a period under one of their most favourite managers.
Let’s take a look at what has been said now:
We appointed Sir Gary Megson 20 years ago today. Favourite memory of Meggo? #OTD | #WBA pic.twitter.com/SlnlSMrwwy

The apparent motivation he gave the players prior to the Palace game and eventual first promotion to the PL. He called the partners and children of the players into the dressing room prior to the game and told the players to do it for them!
He gave us our respect back.
