Many West Brom fans are remembering how good former striker Dwight Gayle was after the player’s statistics at the club were posted on Twitter.
Gayle joined the Baggies on loan from Newcastle last season and had a very successful stint at the Hawthorns. He made 34 appearances, per Transfermarkt, and scored 24 goals, which was one goal every 123 minutes, a career-best for the Englishman.
Keeping in mind his best goal tally in England’s top flight was 7 with Crystal Palace back in the 2013/14 season, it could be argued that the Championship is better suited for Dwight Gayle, and with the summer transfer window around the corner, it will be interesting to see whether the player looks to relocate or not.
This season, he has struggled back at Newcastle, where he has played 12 times in the league this campaign and hasn’t managed to score a goal.
