West Brom’s forgotten man can be Moore’s secret weapon next season – agreed?

West Brom suffered relegation from the Premier League last term despite a late revitalisation of their form and fortunes under new manager, and lifelong Baggies fan, Darren Moore.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to keep the club in the top flight, but the run of good form at the end did instil plenty of optimism ahead of a season back down in the Championship. Since then, West Brom’s squad has been decimated by outgoings, including the departures of previous key men such as Jonny Evans and Claudio Yacob.

Despite the exodus, the Hawthorns faithful will be expecting a promotion push this season, and one of last year’s forgotten men could be key to the club realising it’s title fighting ambitions.

Oliver Burke

Burke struggled for game time last season, and had an even harder time producing any end product when he did get on the pitch.

0 goals and 2 assists isn’t a spectacular return from 15 league outings for the wide attacker. However, Burke is now a year older, a season wiser in experience terms, and having dropped down a level will surely feel he can make a much bigger impact this time around.

The 21-year-old has impressed in the second tier before with Nottingham Forest. His form for the Reds earned the young Scotsman his move to the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig.

The Scottish international’s career stalled somewhat last year, but now he looks ready to kick on and Baggies fans will hope that his progression will be the driving force behind their return to the Premier League.
