The injury to Lukasz Fabianski has hit West Ham harder than many supporters expected, mostly due to Roberto’s performances between the sticks.

The summer signing proved yet again to be at the centre of West Ham’s latest Premier League defeat as the 33-year-old goalkeeper punched the ball into his own net 55 minutes into the match as Roberto completely fluffed his lines with an Ashley Westwood corner (per BBCS Sport).
And on a day where Burnley also had a further two goals disallowed, West Ham fans were raging on social media with their second-choice goalkeeper’s continuous blunders, with plenty of supporters hoping they’ve seen the last of the former Espanyol shot-stopper.
Here’s what West Ham fans had to say about Roberto’s costly blunder on Twitter, with lots of supporters criticising the Spanish keeper for his own-goal against Burnley and hoping Lukasz Fabianski’s backup will be dropped for future games…
OG from the keeper that can’t catch. Didn’t think we could possibly be as bad as we were last week but we’ve somehow managed it. Still, 250 miles of motorway to brighten up the evening, thanks a lot West Ham

That has got to be the worst bit of keeping I have ever witnessed. Might as well put Noble in goal

Absolute disgrace. Serious questions need to be asked about signing that goalkeeper

Can we please sign a better keeper in January, Kyle Walker perhaps?
