West Ham: Fans fume at Sebastien Haller’s performance at Liverpool

Lots of West Ham United fans raged at striker Sebastien Haller after his performance during their Premier League clash against Liverpool at Anfield tonight.

The 26-year-old was substituted in the 74th minute after being fairly ineffective during the game, despite coming up against the Reds’ rookie centre-back Nathaniel Phillips. Sofascore recorded that he failed to register a shot on goal, did not dribble past an opposing player and only completed five accurate passes.

Haller was a big-money signing made by the club back in the summer of 2019 for a club record £45m. During that time, he has scored 12 goals and provided three assists from 42 appearances (TransferMarkt).

Former Hammers great Bobby Zamora previously suggested that his teammates have approached him and said that Haller is not physical enough and is “too soft and must toughen up” (per Sky Sports, cited by Hammers.News).

As a result, these supporters were not impressed with the “wasted talent” and some even believe that his time at the London Stadium should be brought to a swift end.
