Posting to Instagram in an announcement, West Ham United defender Arthur Masuaku revealed the decision to go through career-saving surgery as he is now set to miss the clash with Leeds United – with many Irons speechless at this surprise team news as they erupt on social media.
Masuaku, who has been a mainstay for manager David Moyes as a left attacking full-back, will now miss the Leeds clash and many more encounters following this revelation.

Masuaku out for Leeds
According to reliable correspondent Sam Inkersole, there is no timescale on the Congolese star’s return to the side, and Moyes now faces a last minute formation change as they gear up for their Elland Road encounter.
The 27-year-old allowed Aaron Cresswell to slot in as a left-sided third centre-back, where has been thriving, but could now have to go back to his natural left-back role – in move which could be ‘detrimental‘.
