A recent post from West Ham United’s Twitter account has caused mixed reactions from their fans after they announced they will be streaming the full match of the last game to ever be played at the Boleyn Ground back in 2016.
The game was against Manchester United and the Hammers went 2-1 down with only 15 minutes to go, but goals from Winston Reid and Michail Antonio meant that the club came away with both the three points and great memories, via BBC Sport.
However, some fans don’t want to relive the game due to the fact that a lot of them didn’t want to make the move to the London Stadium and so far most of the memories at their new home have not been enjoyable ones. This includes when fans protested during a game vs Burnley, with captain Mark Noble having to wrestle a supporter to the ground whilst many others stood outside the owner’s box, via The Guardian.

Fans will hope that moments like the ones recaptured on that final night at their famous stadium can be recreated in the London Stadium.

I was at this game and just can’t watch it again. Bit like the 2006 cup final.
