Jose Mourinho has, according to The Sun, jetted off to Croatia for talks regarding Inter Milan attacker Ivan Perisic, which has set tongues wagging here in the Transfer Tavern.
The versatile 28-year-old has been one of the San Siro side’s standout talents this season, helping them up to fifth in the division with nine goals and three assists along the way. He may not be a marquee name, but there seems a certain level of logic to this one, with Perisic hardworking enough to function in a Mourinho team, but in possession of enough creative spark to help the Red Devils as they aim to challenge for the title next season.
So, Manchester United fans should be completely on board with this, right? Well, it seems that opinion really is divided on the subject, with quite a few supporters not all that convinced by the Croatia international…
