With the domestic Premier League break almost with us as football pauses for the first ever winter World Cup out in Qatar later this month, transfer speculation is already gearing up ahead of the opening of the January transfer window and there is a familiar name on the rumour mill in the shape of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham who is being linked with a move to the Premier League once more.

Having been named in Gareth Southgate's 26 man squad this week, fans can certainly get used to plenty more transfer speculation about the lad, particularly if he performs well, but at least as things stand his current German Bundesliga employers seem confident of keeping him, but a Betway sign up offer would probably give you good odds of that not happening.

The 19 year old has again been impressive in the opening months of the campaign and it has previously been claimed that the player will make no decisions about his future until the World Cup is over, but if reports are correct, he could well have a pick of clubs to choose from and each of them will have their own attractions.

In amongst all the speculation, some very familiar names are said to be actively tracking him and they include Spanish giants Real Madrid, English Premier League stalwarts Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United along with fellow German side Bayern Munich, Italian's Juventus and Ligue 1 Paris Saint-Germain.

With it believed that enquiries are already in for the former Birmingham City youngster, Dortmund remain convinced that his head has not been turned yet and as a worst case scenario, he will see the 2022/23 campaign out with them, before then addressing his potential future over the summer.

Dortmund's potential solution to the situation, again particularly if the young talent impresses and does well on the world stage in the coming few weeks, could well be an improved contract offer - to say, 2024 or longer, but with a built in release clause that did not kick in until the summer of 2024. In many ways similar to the deal they struck with goalscoring phenomenon, Erling Haaland, prior to his eventual departure for Pep Guardiola's Manchester City side during the last summer transfer window.

Bellingham's current contract runs until the summer of 2025 at the Signal Iduna Park, so from Dortmund's point of view - if this reported interest in him has been firmed up with concrete enquiries - then that really would be the first place for them to begin to ensure they got the best possible deal further down the line.
