It has been a good start to the season for the Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern…
They have continued where they left off last season, with Mauricio Pochettino continuing to get the best out of a very talented crop of players.
From front to back, Pochettino isn’t short of options, and with Harry Kane firing on all cylinders, anything is possible.
The hard work never stops, though, and with the international break now at an end, the Premier League is set to return this weekend. A clash against Bournemouth is on the horizon for Tottenham, and it’s a game that the Lilywhites will be expected to win.
Pochettino can’t take the game for granted, though, and so he needs to make sure that he picks the perfect team.
With that said, if Pochettino fields this Tottenham XI, Bournemouth will have no chance on Saturday…
GK – Hugo Lloris
The Tottenham Captain.
Hugo Lloris, like Harry Kane, is one of a few Tottenham players that cannot be dropped.
He is so solid.
CB – Jan Vertonghen
Fresh off the back of becoming Belgium’s highest appearance maker, Vertonghen returns to play for his club.
He has been solid this season, as have his defensive partners.
CB – Davinson Sanchez

Offering the perfect balance of attack and defence, Davies has been very solid indeed.

After making his England debut, he’ll be keen to kick on and hold on to his place in this team.

Surrounded by attacking players, the onus is on him to help his defence out. He will be up to the task, without a doubt.

Serge Aurier has made a decent start to life in London, even if he has already received a red card.
He clearly has more quality than Kieran Trippier, and so when fit and available, he should play. It’s a shame, as Trippier has been decent, but Pochettino must think long term.
