West Ham United have enjoyed a real up-turn in form recently and their fans here in the Tavern firmly see their side finishing in the top half this campaign.

The Hammers had started absolutely horrifically but in recent weeks, they’ve enjoyed a lot more success in the Premier League.

They’ve drawn with Middlesbrough and beaten both Crystal Palace and Sunderland over the past couple of weeks, relieving some of the pressure on Slaven Bilic’s shoulders.

It’s a change in form that really needed to happen and now, ahead of their tie with Everton on Sunday, the Irons sit 15th in table with ten points from nine games.

But how should Bilic lineup his men for the game against the Toffees?

It’s clear some changes have really worked but some players still aren’t pulling their weight particularly well.

So with that in mind, here’s our West Ham XI that we think will beat Everton on Sunday…

Adrian

Spanish goalkeeper Adrian has been a solid man between the sticks for the Hammers for a couple of years now and he will definitely start the game against the Toffees.

It could be a tough afternoon for him though, especially with the power the Toffees have going forward.

Cheikhou Kouyate

He was the real star against Sunderland and Bilic’s decision to drop Cheikhou Kouyate back into the backline has been a fantastic one.

The former Anderlecht man was all over Sunderland’s front three and he kept them quiet all game.

Winston Reid

Winston Reid was West Ham’s match-winner against Sunderland and he’ll definitely be keeping his place in the side for the game against Everton on Sunday.

He popped up in injury time to give his side a vital three points but defensively, he’ll have to be alert with the likes of Luakaku running at him all game.

Angelo Ogbonna

Former Juventus man Angelo Ogbonna has gone on to become a rock in West Ham’s back-three and he looked comfortable against the tame Black Cats.

At times, he’s been prone to defensive lapses but if he can give a similar performance against Everton, his side have every chance of winning the game.

Edimilson Fernandes

West Ham new-boy Edimilson Fernandes gave a fantastic performance against Sunderland, playing as an attacking left-wing back.

He showed pace, power and determination all afternoon and his showing was a real positive in what has been a tough start for the Hammers.

Michail Antonio

Ever-impressive Michail Antonio continues to come on leaps and bounds in the West Ham side.

Also prominent as an attacking full-back, the former Nottingham Forest man gives this Hammers side so much strength when going forward. Defensively he’ll need to be at his best against the Toffees though.

Mark Noble

Hammers captain Mark Noble has come back into form in recent weeks and it’s no surprise to his team playing better when he is playing well.

He, like most of his team-mates, had a slow start to the campaign but now he’s firing, West Ham are looking strong once again.

Pedro Obiang

Spanish midfielder Pedro Obiang is quite the force in the middle-of-the-park, and with Kouyate and him both playing in the side, West Ham will be a tough nut to crack going forward.

Dimitri Payet

Dimitri Payet continues to be the heartbeat in this West Ham side and however poorly the team might be playing, you can always count on the Frenchman providing that little bit of quality for his side.

His wondergoal salvaged a point against Middlesbrough in the 1-1 draw and West Ham supporters will hope his form keeps improving as the season progresses.

Jonathan Calleri

Simeone Zaza still isn’t providing the goods for West Ham and we’d like to see on-loan striker Jonathan Calleri given the start against Everton.

The Deportivo Maldonado man is quick and reads the game very well. He’s also more likely to bring the likes of Dimitri Payet into the game, which isn’t a bad thing at all for Slaven Bilic’s side.

Sofiane Feghouli

We really haven’t seen the best of summer signing Sofiane Feghouli yet this season and it will be good to see him given a run in the first-team in the coming weeks.

The former Valencia man is quick and has an array of skill.

He’d do some serious work on this West Ham wing, but needs to show he’s ready to play from the get-go.
