West Ham United fans are pinching themselves here in the Football Transfer Tavern with Sunday’s 3-1 win over Swansea City lifting the Hammers into third in the Premier League table.

But his summer signings have all proved strokes of genius with the Hammers sitting pretty with 27 points from their opening 15 games and the Upton Park faithful starting to dream of Europe.

Liverpool, Manchester City, and in-form Newcastle United have already been disposed of at Upton Park and the most exciting factor for Irons supporters is that the team seems to be improving with each passing week.

Whilst Allardyce himself will be keen to lower expectations after a fantastic start, we see no reason as to why the Hammers cannot continue their fine form from now until the end of the season.
