Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are intrigued by reports linking them to one of Europe’s finest young talents, who could be on his way to North London.
The Mirror report Arsenal watched Schalke’s Leroy Sane star in Bundesliga side’s recent 2-2 draw with Sparta Prague in the Europa League, where the 19-year-old scored his seventh goal in nine games for club and country.
Sane recently agreed a five-year deal with the German side but is tipped by Neil Moxley of The Sunday People as breaking into Joachim Lowe’s international side imminently, perhaps set to star in next summer’s European Championships.
If that is the case then Sane’s stock could rise further and Arsenal seem intent on sneaking a move before the rest of Europe’s eyes are glued upon the fine young talent.
Sane, a winger, could provide a huge boost to Arsene Wenger’s squad as Aaron Ramsey battles with injury, whilst fans at the bar have question Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain this season after regularly conceding possession that leads to goals at the other end.
