Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez may have to isolate for five days following the upcoming international break, according to TyC Sports, cited by Sport Witness.

And a number of Villa supporters have been reacting to the news on social media.

The 29-year-old has been named in Argentina’s 30-man squad to face Paraguay, Uruguay and Peru between October 8 and 15, but Villa teammate Emiliano Buendia has been left out.

The goalkeeper is set to link up with his national side following this weekend’s clash with Tottenham, and it seems as if Dean Smith could be without the 29-year-old for the club's first game back after the international window.

Martinez missed the game against Chelsea earlier this month due to quarantine rules, and according to TyC Sports (via Sport Witness), he will need to isolate for five days when returning directly to the UK.

Should he feature in all three games for Argentina, he is set to miss Villa's first game back after the break, which is at home to Midlands rivals Wolves on Ocotber 16.

Villa fans react
