A headline for Madness fans, perhaps in more ways than one.
Watching the fella play yesterday I became aware of two things that previously I had been unaware of. One, the Americans were a pretty petty bunch of unsporting whiners. The second was that KPB is a markedly different player to the one these days compared to the one that wore our shirt.
How much time has gone by? Two seasons, is it? The child appears to be grown. His rapport with his team mates was good, but his rapport with the ball was even better. The desire that he had at Tottenham to make every ball a head-turner seems to have largely disapated and he’s playing some pretty sexy, but simultaneously and more importantly – useful football out there.
His efforts at Pompey didn’t go unnoticed by many and so I pose the question, ought he come home again? I don’t think I’m alone in saying we all liked the idea of a ‘KPB’ so to speak, much like many of us liked the idea of an Adel Taarabt.
With Taarabt there appears to little indication he has curbed his Can’t Pass, Won’t Pass ways, whereas The Prince is doing a good impression of a man shaping up to fill royal shoes.
