Bye Bye! The 2 most likely players to quit Swansea City this summer

Swansea City have undergone a minor revival under Paul Clement, giving themselves a fighting chance of staying up after seemingly looking dead certs for the drop.

The Swans fans who frequent the Transfer Tavern have been quite happy of late over by the quiz machine, seemingly in good spirits and making plans for next season once again in the top flight.

However, they are also aware that some of their players could well seek moves away from the Liberty, whether it be to a bigger and higher placed club, or simply because a player needs a change of club.

Our landlord thinks that the Swans might well find themselves in some serious discussions with some of their players come June and July, and we agree.

So, with this in mind, we take a look at TWO Swansea City players who could well quit the club this summer…

Gylfi Sigurdsson

The classy Icelandic midfielder is a step above most of the squad, and he will be in high demand in the summer.

Sigurdsson could no doubt play at a higher level in the Premier League, and despite not showing his best form for Spurs a few years ago, he is easily good enough to compete for a team challenging at the right end of the table.

Fernando Llorente

The big Spanish striker has taken his time but has finally settled into some sort of form at the Liberty.

However, Chelsea were mentioned as a destination during January, and it would not be a surprise to see Llorente move on, either within the Premier League, or back to Spain.

Paul Clement will be keen to keep him, but when clubs come sniffing in the summer, it could well dictate Llorente’s next move.
