The Tottenham fans in the Transfer Tavern haven’t enjoyed the summer so far…
The Lilywhites have had a very quiet close-season, and whilst they’ve started the new campaign well, it’s clear that a couple of signings wouldn’t go amiss.
Fortunately, the spending appears to be picking up slightly, with the major capture of Davinson Sanchez the highlight of the Pochettino’s summer so far.
Deadline day is always a busy one in the Transfer Tavern, but will it be a busy one at White Hart Lane? You certainly can’t rule out a couple of transfers, particularly given Tottenham’s current situation.
Their lack of summer action has left their squad looking thin, and this is something that needs to be addressed.
With that said, here are 2 deals that Tottenham should try and complete today…
Ross Barkley

Ross Barkley won’t be available for a while, given that he is currently injured, but what a signing this would be.
The Englishman, on his day, is one of Europe’s best young players, and Mauricio Pochettino could be the perfect man to bring the best out of him.
He’ll give Dele Alli some competition, whilst also aiding the Tottenham attack in general.
At 23-years-old, the best is yet to come.
Demarai Gray

Demarai Gray could be a great option out-wide for the Lilywhites.
An excellent dribbler and goalscorer, the winger is in the prime of his career – and Tottenham could really do with a bit more depth out wide.
Sissoko doesn’t look like a real option in the role, so Gray would be a big upgrade.
