‘Deserved’ - Fans react as Tottenham agree fresh terms with impressive defender

The Argentine manager has built quite the side, and with the team now impressing after a tough start in the Premier League, most are expecting some real progress this term.

Tottenham, though, have always been a side that place as much focus on the future as they do the present, with young players always firmly in the mind of management.

Dele Alli and Harry Kane are two players that have already made an impact, whilst Harry Winks is also on the verge of the first team. This week, though, is one to celebrate for another young Tottenham player – Anton Walkes. Currently on loan in America with Atlanta, the defender has impressed during his spell, and he has been duly rewarded with a new deal.

Tottenham confirmed the news on Wednesday evening, and there was a unanimous cheer from the fans in the Transfer Tavern. Unsurprisingly, the fans on Twitter were also pretty pleased – with fans always keen to see the young player impress.
