West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping for a major upheaval in their squad this summer, with their forward ranks needing significant improvement.
The Hammers have struggled to find an established, reliable striker in their squad, due to a wealth of injury problems and poor form, which has led the East London side to be linked with a number of strikers across Europe.
One name being mentioned yet again is AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca, with the Colombian forward likely to leave the San Siro this summer as the Serie A side conduct their own squad overhaul following their takeover last summer.
However, fans aren’t too impressed with the links to Bacca, who they deem to be not good enough, whilst others seem fed up to see the same names appearing in the gossip pages year on year without anything coming through.
Our landlord agrees that West Ham should be looking to do better than Bacca this summer and has questioned the side’s aspirations as a result.
