Drop them: Lambert must axe these 2 players from today’s starting Wolves XI against Blackburn

Wolves manager Paul Lambert has done a sterling job these last few months, getting plenty of wins under his belt to propel Wolves well clear of the relegation zone in the Championship.

After a season of turmoil at Molineux, things are finally looking up, and the Wolves fans here in the Tavern have been looking more and more pleased with themselves as the week has progressed.

This weekend sees them taking on a Blackburn side fighting against relegation, and another win for Wolves would no doubt give them some confidence going into the final few games.

Despite winning their fair share of games lately, some Wolves fans feel Lambert might opt to change it up a bit again in terms of the starting XI, so with this in mind, here are TWO Wolves players who could be axed from the line-up for the game with Blackburn Rovers…

George Saville

It’s hard to select people to drop from a winning team, but Saville was replaced during the game by Lee Evans and Lambert could well opt to make that change from the start this week.

Both players offer something in the middle of the park, so Lambert definitely has a tough decision to make.

Nouha Dicko

With the threat of relegation now firmly staved off, Lambert might well opt to give his second striker Jon Dadi Bodvarsson another chance to impress from the start.

Bodvarsson has had a stop start first year in English football, but if he finishes the season well he could well be an asset come next season for Wolves.
