New Derby County manager Gary Rowett already looks like he has the club firmly back on track, and a late charge at sixth spot is certainly not of out of the question.
Following an impressive 4-2 win over playoff rivals Fulham in midweek, the Rams fans here in the Transfer Tavern have been in the best mood we have seen them for a long, long time.
Our landlord has been having plenty of chatter with the Derby lot over by the pool table, and while Rowett continues to impress, there is talk that he might well make a few changes for the away trip to old club Birmingham City today.
With this in mind, we have taken a look at TWO players who could be dropped from today’s XI against the Blues…
Matej Vydra

The striker was replaced at half time in the impressive win over Fulham, and could well find himself out of the running today.
Vydra has been impressive enough since Gary Rowett took over, but with such a convincing win last time out and Vydra’s early withdrawal, he could well be dropped today.
Craig Bryson

With options on the bench like Will Hughes and Jacob Butterfield, there is always chance for changes to be made in the middle of the park for the Rams.
Bryson could well be the one to miss out this weekend, with plenty of talent waiting in the wings to replace him.
