Mauricio Pochettino has overseen a period of revolution at Tottenham in recent years, but could his spell in London come to a premature end before the fruits of his labour are delivered?
According to the Mirror, Real Madrid are eyeing up for the Spurs boss – as uncertainty over the future of Zinedine Zidane continues.
Whilst they aren’t suggesting that a move has been made for Pochettino, they are reporting that Real Madrid have put the Tottenham boss on their managerial shortlist – and should Zidane’s tenure come to a premature end, it seems likely that they will look towards the Argentine.
Interestingly, they also add that Daniel Levy is reportedly aware of the interest, and that he could be powerless to resist should they come calling.
This has put the Tottenham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern in a very tough spot. They have enjoyed Tottenham’s rise to prominence in recent years, but if Pochettino leaves – all of the hard work at White Hart Lane could be undone.
