Everton fans have let rip at defender Michael Keane following his performance during their Carabao Cup exit to Leicester City on Wednesday.

The Toffees came back from 2-0 down to take the game to spot-kicks with a last gasp equaliser from Leighton Baines in the 91st minute.
Ultimately, Duncan Ferguson’s side fell short of victory after Cenk Tosun and Baines both missed penalties in the shoot-out which saw them crash out of the domestic cup competition at the quarter-final stage.
The Blues were defensively poor, especially during the first half after conceding two goals in three minutes.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more unnatural unorthodox centre-half in my life than Michael Keane. You can see the amount of intense thought and effort which it takes for him to play a 5-yard ball. Horrible, horrible to watch. I strongly dislike him, please sell.#EFC

Keane struggled to contain Jamie Vardy during the affair, with the England international found to be at fault for Maddison’s goal.
Supporters were fuming with Keane’s performance and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he played like a “newly born giraffe”, while another criticised his battle with Vardy, saying that he pushed him out of the way as if he was not there.
Here you will find some of the best comments from Everton fans:

I was in the Park End and at one point he turned back towards the Gwladys , Jamie Vardy closing Pickford down and about 5 thousand people were shouting no, his small brain said yes and passed it to Pickford. He is a 🤡
